Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have reunited for a new single called “Bongos.”

The follow-up to the duo’s smash hit “WAP,” the new single is nothing short of an ode to getting cash and getting it on. Over a booming bass and a beat featuring the signature snare syncopation of reggaeton, both rappers deliver verses detailing their successes.

Standout lines include Cardi’s “Bitch, I look like money/ You could print my face on a dollar,” and a lyric from Megan which gives the song its title: “My back shots sound like bongos/  I ain’t scared to admit, I’m a freak ho/ At least I’m gettin’ my money.”

“Bongos” arrives alongside a colorful music video featuring Cardi and Megan in a number of fun hats and outfits, dancing on a variety of sets with a team of backup dancers.

Highlights include big, colorful, feathery hats; a fun scene where Cardi’s multi-colored-striped outfit perfectly matches the multi-colored-striped room; and perhaps the most sensual dance you’ll ever see between a woman and a refrigerator. Watch the video below.

The hip-hop stars previously linked up for “WAP” in August 2020. The blockbuster single hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and, to date, has been certified seven times platinum. “WAP” was also named the 50th best song of 2020 by Consequence.

Both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have been teasing new albums as of late. In a recent Vogue México y Latinoamérica cover story, Cardi B said the follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy was “coming out very soon.” Over the summer, she teamed up with her husband Offset on a single called “Jealousy.”

Meanwhile, Megan was seen in the studio in a video posted to her Instagram back in July. “I’m back in that mode. It’s that time,” she wrote in an accompanying caption. Her most recent album, Traumazine, was released in August 2022.
