Jennifer Lopez is reportedly not interested in talking about her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the viral video of him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura.

Lopez and Diddy previously dated between 1999 and 2001 but split in the wake of infidelity rumors. According to sources, the singer is refraining from talking because she knows it is not “her story to tell.” However, she is “tremendously disappointed” and “disgusted” by his actions.

Diddy’s video of him assaulting his ex, Cassie, has remained a topic on the internet, with many celebrities, former acquaintances, and social media users slamming the music producer for his actions.

Noticeably missing from the multitude of critics is his ex-girlfriend, Lopez, with whom he shared a relationship from 1999 to 2001. Given their history, many anticipated her input on the matter.

Yet, a close insider has revealed that she has no immediate plans to break her silence. She is preoccupied with her efforts to salvage her marriage to actor Ben Affleck, which appears to be on shaky ground.

“Among everything else that Jen is dealing with in her life, she is aware and has seen what Diddy did,” the source said, per the Daily Mail. They added, “Jen is not going to address the accusations or take time to talk about them because it is not her story to tell.”

Although the singer seems unready to address Diddy’s issue, this doesn’t mean she supports him in any way.

According to the source, she finds his actions “heartbreaking” and “disturbing,” especially because they were once an item.

“Not that people forget, but her relationship with him several years ago had its tumultuous ups and downs. What he has done and what he has been accused of is heartbreaking,” the insider told the outlet.

They continued, “It is disgusting for her to see that someone, who at one point in her life was someone she put so much trust in, has ended up turning into a very damaged human being. It is disturbing to see.”

Despite Lopez’s current stance, the door is still left open for a possible conversation in a future interview, but the singer only plans to “cross that path as and when it happens” and “will not put herself in that conversation on purpose.”

Amid speculations of Lopez and Affleck splitting up, multiple sources have confirmed that the duo is no longer living together.

It is also understood that Lopez remained in the couple’s expensive home in Beverly Hills while the male actor is lodged in one of their other properties.

Despite the subtle separation, the duo is still committed to their responsibilities to their blended family, although it has been difficult due to the strain on their relationship.

“At first it was a whirlwind of love and now that real life is setting in, it’s hard,” an insider shared about the couple, per Fox News. “They are both involved in each other’s kids’ lives and consider themselves one big family unit, so it’s been hard for everyone.”

According to a source who spoke to People magazine, Affleck and Lopez’s marriage is “not in the best place at the moment.”

The insider claimed that Lopez, who “likes to open her heart to her fans and the world,” remains in their $60 million Beverly Hills home, while Affleck prefers a more private life and stays in a nearby rental.

“He is more introspective and private. This has been difficult day-to-day,” the source said.

Lopez’s documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” highlighted the couple’s differences. The documentary, which premiered on Prime Video in February, features Affleck discussing their 2021 reunion, 17 years after their previous relationship ended due to intense media scrutiny of “Bennifer.”

“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,” said Affleck. “Then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain, and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.'”

He also  acknowledged that he and Lopez are “two people with different approaches trying to find a way to compromise.”

Although the two have been seen in public recently, they have mostly not been in the company of one another.

Even when they appeared at an event on May 16 to support their children, they arrived separately, further fueling speculation about a rift in their marriage.

According to a source, there are no hopes for their issues to be resolved, and it is all a matter of time before their separation becomes official.

“It’s over; they’re headed for a divorce, and for once [Ben’s] not to blame. He’s focusing on his work and kids now,” the insider informed In Touch.

They added, “They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
